Servers are activated after payment is received. Your server is provisioned manually by a staff member, and will take no more than 6 hours (it's usually quite quick).

Absolutely! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Just shoot us an email, or submit your request through the Suggestion Box on the control panel. Upgrades and downgrades do not affect your server's maps or mods, just the slot count.

Confirm your map folder contains the level.dat file, then compress your map save into a ZIP file. On the control panel, go to the Map Manager, and click on "Upload World."

That's most likely because level.dat was missing, or something happened while transferring the map to the server. Check the Activity Log on the control panel, and e-mail us if it fails on the second try.

The Public Backups Directory is a web-accessible directory where your map backups are stored. You can disable this if you'd rather not give everyone access to your map backups. You must enable it temporarily (if it's disabled) to download your map backups.

The File Manager is what you're looking for! It lets you browse through the directories that make up your server. You can edit any non-binary text file by clicking on its name.

Binary files are not editable because they are not text. Files like minecraft_server.jar and many .dat files are just gibberish to humans when opened in text editors. If you feel a file is uneditable by mistake, e-mail us and we'll get it fixed for you!

You can make people admin by adding usernames to 'ops.txt' in the File Manager, one per line, and then restarting the server.

The extra settings page controls settings for the server wrapper. The wrapper monitors server output and sends commands to the server console.
